Martinez Pain and Spine – Interventional Pain Management: Interventional Pain Management is the specialty practice dedicated to the use of non-surgical and non-opioid approaches to treating pain. Interventional pain specialists utilize advanced techniques such as injections, nerve ablation, and other minimally invasive procedures. These interventions are designed to treat pain specifically at the source.

Treatment for Back Pain
Low back pain is the leading pain complaint of adults and may affect three in four adults during their lifetime. Not all back pain is the same, nor should it be treated the same. Back pain may be degenerative, age-related, disease-related, or linked to poor posture or injury. Dr. Martinez uses patient history, physical and neurological exam, and diagnostic imaging to evaluate and pinpoint the source of the back pain. By understanding and addressing your specific pain problem, there is a better opportunity of decreasing the pain and increasing enjoyment out of life.

Treatment for Neck Pain
Neck pain is another common pain complaint with various causes such as direct injury, disc degeneration, or joint arthritis. Treating neck pain successfully requires a complete understanding of the condition of the neck. We will review your history and complete a physical exam of the painful and related areas. Diagnostic imaging such as x-rays and MRIs are extremely helpful during the evaluation when determining the cause of the neck pain and providing the best treatment options.

Treatment for Joint Pain
The joints in our bodies provide support for our bones and help us move. When there is damage to the joints we may experience pain and find it difficult to move freely. Shoulder pain, hip pain, and knee pain can sometimes be so severe that it affects our ability to enjoy our daily activities. Even joints in our wrist, hands, and feet may be affected. After a full evaluation we will diagnose the condition that is causing the joint pain. Many treatments are available to address the painful symptoms caused by inflammation in the joint. Our goal is to reduce the pain and inflammation in the joint.
